The Effects of a Forward Lunge with Hip Adduction on Muscle Activity and Plantar Pressure in Healthy Subjects

Background Patellofemoral pain syndrome (PFPS) is one of the most common causes anterior knee seen in adolescents and adults under age 60 yr. The same quadriceps exercise as forward lunge important treatment PFPS, selective strengthening vastus medialis oblique muscle (VMO) also required. Purpose purpose this study was to compare whether with hip adduction (ADD) neutral position (NEU) affected plantar pressure activity VMO lateralis (VL) healthy subjects.
